This continent is considered to be a part of the new world means ares discovered after 1300 A.D-1400 A.D by means of sea routes after invention of naval power.

People of that period believed that there is nothing or there are only 4 continents i.e Asia,Africa,Europe,south america. They didn't knew any thing about the 'new world'.


 So there is well know theory about the birth of this continent which is folk story of red Indians. which describes about the sky women which came form the sky with her vehicle which was a turtle.


I believe it to be a spaceship .Then she crashed but the water saved her. Then thinks to build life on this place .Then she places her turtle  and throws her seeds on turtles back and that's how  birth of continent happens .If we describe the sky women there is statue of lady over the  white house she is the sky women. as given above the map of the continent resembles to shape.so thats what I about the birth of continent.Its alien
